This is the README file for the directory pub/hilbert10 on
theory.lcs.mit.edu.  All files in this directory are available via
anonymous ftp and mail server.  To retrieve a file by mail, send a
message containing a line of the form

                       send hilbert10 FILENAME

to archive-server@theory.lcs.mit.edu.  For more information on the
server, send a message containing the word "help" to that address.

This directory contains files related to Yuri V. Matijasevich's book
"Hilbert's Tenth Problem" (MIT Press, 1993), which is the English
translation of "Desyataya Problema Gilb'erta" (Nauka, Moscow, 1993).

This directory currently contains the following files:

contents.txt    The table of contents for the book.

preface.tex     The author's preface for the book.  This file is
                copyrighted by MIT Press and is included here with
                their permission.

foreword.tex    Martin Davis's foreword to the book.  This file is
                copyrighted by MIT Press and is included here with
                their permission.

hilbert10.bib   A BibTeX bibliography file containing the complete
                bibliography for {\em Hilbert's Tenth Problem}, plus
                some later additions.  This file is included here with
                the permission of MIT Press and Nauka.  Last modified
                on December 9, 1993.

errata.tex      A list of errata for the first edition of the book.
                Last modified on December 9, 1993.

hilbert.sty     The main AMS-LaTeX documentstyle used to prepare the
                camera-ready copy for the book.

hilbaux.sty     Supplementary macros.

hilbert.bst     A BibTeX style file that implements a style very close
                to that used for the bibliography of the book.

index.sty       A LaTeX style file that implements a scheme for
                allowing multiple indexes in a document.

index.doc       The documented version of index.sty.

test.tex        An AMS-LaTeX file that can be used to print out the
                bibliography from hilbert10.bib.  If you don't have
                AMS-LaTeX, use test2.tex instead.

test2.tex       A LaTeX file that can be used to print out the
                bibliography from hilbert10.bib.  If you have
                AMS-LaTeX, use test.tex instead.
