------------------------------------------------------------------------ Term projects will be presented in class on December 1, 3, 8, and 10. Your group is also responsible for a project report of 5-10 pages due on the last day of class, December 10. About 1/3 of your term project grade will be from your presentation and 2/3 will be from your project report. Your project group should send an email to Seth by noon on Wednesday, November 19, ranking the four presentation days according your preference for presentation date. Seth will put together a schedule that tries to accommodate everyone's wishes. If your group requires special consideration in scheduling, please explain why in your email to Seth. Your group will have about 10-12 minutes times the number of students in your group to make your presentation, plus a few minutes for questions. All students in the group should participate actively in the presentation. Prepare PowerPoint or other on-line presentation materials. Arrange with Seth in advance to make your materials available in the classroom for your presentation. The distance-education classrooms also have a document projector and blackboards, but they should be used for amplification, not for presentation. An advantage to presenting early is that you can use feedback from your presentation to improve your project report. An advantage to presenting later is that you have more time to polish your presentation. If you have any questions, please contact the course staff. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
